Since the news of so many farmers that were butchered in Borno State, Nigeria, the Northern Elders have finally spoken up.
In the past, it was the Southern Governors that were agitating for the better protection of the lives of southerners in Nigeria and that of those in the middle belt. That is because the majority of killings were carried out either by the Boko Haram insurgents and militants, or by the Fulani herdsmen.
The Fulani herdsmen are also called a militia group in Nigeria on the same level as Boko Haram in venomous activities. Some Nigerians even describe them as the “Buhari Militia” used to perform his “ethnic cleansing” Jihadist agenda. While this may or may not be the case, Major General Buhari, who is sitting as the “elected” President of Nigeria did declare them to be his “brothers” in a statement that implied that they are “untouchables”.
Thousands of Christians have been killed in Northern Nigeria but the Elders kept quiet until now.
