Listen to the speech by John McCain as he conceded to Obama in 2008 election. His supporters started to “boo” Obama, but McCain stopped them with both hands raised, as if to say, “this is not who we are”. He stopped them and calmed them down. He did not incite them. When some of them still persisted, McCain gave them a slight side “nod”, as if to say, “well, we lost, and I need to do this, because it is the right thing to do”.
